Launched!
The new and improved, totally revamped, SaratogaSkies.com web site is on the air! Thanks a million to my Dear wife Lyena, web goddess of the similarly amazing Wisteria Moon web site, for the wonderful presentation and functionality of the new site. Some hightlights:
- All images are categorized by object type, by scope, by camera, etc. Use the “category” buttons on the left to see a list of matching images.
- A full-text search feature is also available. Know the object you’re looking for by name? Just enter, e.g., “Horsehead” (without the quotes) into the Search field on the upper-right, and a list of matching images will be displayed.
Please provide feedback on the new site. What do you like? What don’t you like? Enjoy!
I love the new site Jim, the layout style is very clean.
The white background when browsing images by category seems a bit bright. I wonder if it is possible for you to use the same color as when viewing an individual image?
Good job!

Thanks DrHalpha — I think we agree! We darkened it a smidge. Does that look beter?

Yes it does Jim.

Jim,
Nice work on the web site.
When displaying objects by catalog I would prefer to have sorting by catalog number (rather than date)
Just my $0.02.
Clear Skies,
Gert

That’s a great idea, Gert. I’ll check with the Web Goddess to see if she can implement that.
