NGC 6823 is a small open cluster in the constellation of Vulpecula. I tried to capture the faint nebula NGC 6820 upon which this open cluster is superimposed, but the conditions just wouldn't support it. (Use your imagination and you'll be able to see a trace of it.) Many thanks to my neighbor for turning on his flood lights as I was shooting this object. Grrrrr. <grin> That's ok, because this was yet another set of test shots as I try to debug my autoguiding setup. This is a 50pct crop of the full-size frame, scaled for display on the web. North is up.
